Fern’s Prologue
Why is it that Manifestos implicitly evoke violence for me, which is in opposition to everything I stand for? Is it because they ask for power by overturning the current power, while in fact the entire power struggle could rather be replaced by “yes and” to create the paradigmatic shift in the world.
Let’s look at the origins of manifesto. Where was it first created? Who created the first manifesto? I don’t know. Let’s find out together. In which country, and on which continent was the first manifesto created? Was the person white? Was the person male? What was their social status? Their profession? Their religious beliefs?
Context matters. Who creates frames matters. I refuse to operate under colonizing forms of institutionalized racism and white supremacy. We take those proscribed forms as givens, not questioning them. What if form implicitly includes its originator and the system they want in power? Declaration of Independence was a manifesto created by_______to benefit___________. (fill in the blanks) The Bible was a manifesto created by______to benefit_________ (fill in the blanks).
In the glory of burned witches, vilified spiritual practices, forbidden peoples, and all things erased from history, I refuse to engage in the form of a manifesto. Here is what I found to be omnipresent instead across continents and cultures: a prophecy. No one needs to believe a prophecy. Nothing in the prophecy must be taken for granted, and everything can be taken for granted. I do not claim that prophecy is better than a manifesto. I, myself am not a prophet at all.
I just stir up the cauldron, to bring about the change.
PROPHECY for the 22nd CENTURY instead of Manifesto
The dominant ruling group based on race and gender will cede its ruling position voluntarily and help build a society based on equity.
Capitalism will fail. Equity instead of egality.
Oppressed groups - oppressed groups of people around the world will consult as guides and teachers. There is a way to be awakened in the world with acute sharpness and perception that is known only by people who have experienced generational trauma and pain.
Slavery reparations – The world governments will start paying reparations for slavery beginning of 2050.
Eco - reformatism – radical doctrine started as a movement in New York in 2020 inspired by a rather passive approach to climate change by people who recycle. Eco – reformatism was founded in the outskirts of Brooklyn (non- gentrified areas which I won't mention here to protect them from gentrification) by a group of former artists who said no to art. The no-to art movement has soon spread out in similar suburbs around Oakland (outskirts of San Francisco), Renton in Seattle, somewhere in Germany, Utrecht, and Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The Eco- reformatism included a pirate group on Wall Street and other stock markets around the world in which eco- reformatists were falsely raising the prices of fair and sustainable companies to create more revenue for a better world.
Eco-reformative ovals – These are possibilities to express opinions in different forms and dissolve those forms before they become rigid. Eco-reformative ovals were inspired by soap bubbles.
Neoformatism – is a subdivision of eco-reformatism that developed as a reaction to ecoreforming rigidity, allowing for human fallacy and accepting that humans make mistakes and are slacking. The main premise of neoformatist teaching is that slacking, half-heartedness, and superficiality are necessary components that produce newness and change, either by the impossibility to keep the status quo or by provoking others to change because they can't stand others slacking but are interested in learning why there is such need.
Commonism – like communism, but better. Commonism is a system that will not fail. It is invented by women and spread at the end of the 21st century. Commonism will become the main system in the 22 century and beyond. The main premise of commonism is that the system always betters itself by not declaring it is the only right way to form a society, applying self-evaluation, and correcting its own doctrines if they fail to work for the oppressed.
Honeycomb enclave - With the strengthening of commonism the power of the United States will no longer be. The people will start to group different enclaves in groups of six that will commonly include citizens or entire neighborhoods of citizens from different cities around the world. Those groups of citizens will have the right to establish their state-like communities, just like multinational companies in neoliberal society do. Other concepts like tourism will also be abandoned because commoners will be encouraged to spend a portion of their time in another commoner's place. Commoners rotate between enclaves every six years.
Artists – Group of people that claimed to be closer to knowing and beauty than others. Starting in the 21st century, the role of an artist has significantly deteriorated and has shifted from a positive to a rather destructive and unwanted role, not from the right wing, but from the left itself. The changes in artists happened in the 20th century with the proliferation of arts, directly followed by gentrification and expulsion of the poor to the outskirts of the cities, the commodification of emotions and experiences into trading goods, exchange of beauty for money to enable late capitalism. Artists showed to be somewhat egocentric and flawed individuals who embraced positive concepts like veganism, recycling, empathy, and Berny Sanders but were applying double standards when it came to their artistic practice. It has been visible that in every neighborhood in which the artist steps, contractors follow and make the life of the poor even more difficult, pushing them even further away from the city. Artists seem to become more and more compliant with late capitalism, and less and less radical. In a way, they traded services for money. Those changes were not coming from outside but from the artists themselves. Artists unwillingly have become capitalists of beauty, trading any idea and beauty for money. In late capitalism, there was no other option: capitalism created possibilities for artists to study art, and there was a surplus of artists on the market that all needed to eat. They utilized their learned practices in marketing, creating using terms such as mindfulness, me-time, compassion, and acceptance, in coffee shops, marketing agencies, yoga studios, and especially social media.
Positive brutality – positive brutality is a feedback method in which debate starts with negative critiques. While applying positive brutality, every participant states the worst thoughts they thought about a certain idea or project. They keep doing it till they have nothing else wrong to say, by which point they start with moderately ok statements until they have no half-hearted observations and comments left. The last part is reserved for positive affirmations only.
Positive oval – positive oval started as a reaction to circle meetings. People take any shape in the room they are meeting and change their positions as often as it pleases them.
Catalysts – various humans and non-human beings that serve as generators of new ideas and approaches, by mistake, chance, or intention.
Radical intersectionality – Radical intersectionality is an approach that questions the forms by which academic success is measured, introducing, and inventing new forms of communication and evaluation.
Foreign kryptons – necessary evils. Those are humans that do not choose to be evil but just are. Evil is their specialty. They are to be avoided, but every krypton is necessary to society. In a way, kryptons are martyrs of the society because they take evil onto themselves to wake up sleeping people to become stronger and better by a reaction to negativity. While they rarely have a chance to become so, they are hated and despised. Unfortunately, kryptons know they are monsters and suffer a lot. It's not easy to be one. Kryptons are there, as catalysts to better the society. We live in an age of a multitude of foreign kryptons. It is important to mention that in every discussion.
Chrystal guides – books that do not follow cannons and include at first look trivial information but are becoming consulted as the primary literature is becoming irrelevant and questioned in consideration of standpoint theory.
Random literature – becomes obligatory at every university and the basis of research.
Animals - people will stop keeping animals in their homes to cure their loneliness. The castration will be forbidden. There will be fewer animals, and those that remain will be held in the countryside by people who genuinely need animal help. People who cured their loneliness with animals will find a new interest, and scheme revolutionary techniques based on board games to subvert and undermine social media which alienated people for profit.
Bugs – every household will need to declare five different species of insects that they are hosting and cultivating on their premises. Pesticides, foggers, and similar will be forbidden, and the thing of the past. The humans will learn to communicate with insects, which in return, will teach them how to transform nuclear waste into fertilizer.
Fungi - More scientific and medical research will be directed toward fungi, which will prove to be a cheap alternative to cancer medication. There will be a huge scandal and a trial of pharmaceutical companies as it will be discovered that cures for aids and cancer have already been found a long time ago, but that they were not given out for the public benefit because of profit.
Neurobiology - There will be a booming of this branch of biology as people will widely accept that plants are sentient beings, and much research will be dedicated to understanding how plants feel and think. People will not only stop captivating plants in pots, which will be considered an extremely cruel practice (just as zoos were forbidden at the end of the 21st century) but will also dedicate more time to learn their chemical language and understanding how we can communicate with each other chemically.
Water - There will be new scientific research by which humans will try to understand the language of water. Water will show itself as a powerful enemy at first. Even the water in their own bodies will start to work against them. Becoming increasingly aware and threatened, people will slowly start to understand that communicating with water will become important for the survival of all species. It will be discovered that water is not only a potent ally but also a teacher.
Biom – all plastic will be replaced by biome, a powerful bio-degradable combination of algae and cartilage. More research will be directed toward different materials that could replace plastic. By the middle of the 22nd century, there will be around ten different biodegradable materials used instead of plastic.
Geothermal power – geothermal, and not solar will become the greenest, and a main source of energy.
Everything that was known as the canon of scientific research practices will start to change: anthropology, sociology, history, and university research. All of them will be brought under question as practices developed and kept under control by one dominant group to keep the rest of the world in check and order.
Since art will no longer be necessary to heal, it will become a language that we all speak. Dance, painting, and music will be used to speak about different things, which won't be able to be expressed with words. People will dance when they want to fight. Capoeira and other forms of combat dance will be taught at schools to redirect aggression in creative ways.
Poetry will, as acupuncture, become a method of healing. Ancient medicines such as Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, African shamanism, and other forms of ancient medicines will be further researched and discovered as valid and valuable fundaments on which most advanced medical and psychological research will be based. The mental illness will be a thing of the past, as violence in families will no longer be. Violence against children will no longer be. If there will still be people with mental challenges, they will be invited to express their fears, pains, and injustices openly, and be supported by their communities to bring forth what is best in them and helps their societies. They will have a purpose, and feel proud, welcomed, and loved.
People will no longer use cars alone. People will no longer live alone. People will no longer pay for animals more than for other people.
People will ask for advice from trees and will learn the language of water. People in churches around the world will all say A-men. A- women. A- them.
Or something along those lines.
